Paper

Addie is very easily pleased these days. A plastic cup, tupperwear, anything that you have really really. But a favorite is paper. This is what I find when I leave for 2 seconds! "What!? Who me? No I'm not doing anything I promise."

"Oh man why do you keep coming back mom! Caught red handed."

Turtle neck

This isn't the best picture of her but it goes with a cute story I have to share. One day I asked Jim to get Adelaide dressed in the outfit that I had picked out while I finished getting myself ready. A few minutes later I hear-

"Ummm babe I dont think she can wear this."

"Why not?"

"Well she really doesn't have a neck to turtle"

Neck to turtle!!! BAHAHAHA!

It still makes me laugh.

6 Months!

Her stats:
Weight- 14lbs even
Height-26"
Head circumference- 16 1/2
(Shes definatly our little girl)

My baby is growing way to fast! Its hard to remember what it was like before she was with us. She has such a sweet but stubborn personality. Has found her toes are tasty. So are her fingers. Well anything she can get into her mouth she likes. She is back on a routin so she is sleeping through the night again, but only takes lik 3 30-40 minute naps during the day. She has started eating real food! She has only had 2 different types of squash- she likes it about as much as her dad does. (sometimes he wont even feed her because he cant even stand the smell. I sometimes wonder who is really the baby) Some of her favorite toys are paper, books and her blue plastic cup. She hates being left alone even for a second, which makes getting ready during the day kind of hard. She smiles but would rather just look at everything. She has FINALLY laughed for me! Only a few times and it takes a lot of work to get her to do it, but oh my it the most wonderful, magical, sweetest sound I have ever heard. I almost cry just thinking about it. She still loves her dad ( I have to admit I think more then she loves me) She lights up everytime she sees him. He isnt allowed to talk when I am putting her to bed because she wakes up right away and looks for him. She can sit up by herself for a few minutes before flopping over. Is way better with her tummy time now. She will stay on her tummy for a good 5 minutes before shes over it. She has learnt to roll over form her back to front and then back again. She loves to grab. Mostly my hair. (I no longer judge women who always have ponytails or moms who chop off their hair.)But I dont even care. I love everything about her. She turns my world upside down with one smile and makes my day with one little hug.

Halloween

I love Halloween. Well any holiday. But this year it just came up on us so fast and went by even faster. Adelaide had lots of fun though. She was our little duck! "Hey I think there is suppose to be candy in here guys!"

"Serisously guys where is my candy?"

I love that shes just sitting on this little curb, but compared to her its huge.We went down to Sandy and Tylers house for their wards trunk or treat.

I told you I love them, so there are lots. She just had way to many fun things to look that didnt include the camera.

"Dad let me go! I need to get some treats!"

My wonderful cousins from Australia, Sarah and Emily were here visiting so they came with us. It was amazing having them here.

On Halloween we went to my moms house for Sunday dinner.

Play time with dad. She loves when he throws her up like this.

More play time, but this time with Grandpa. He is the only one thats happy she is getting bigger. He cant wait till she can really play with him.

Sundays

Some of you may know that I love to dress up. Yes I know how old I am. I just think its fun to put on a fabulous skirt with great high heels.
But my favorite is now I have a family to dress up to! (Yes when it was just me and Jim I would make him match me every sunday) But a mini me is so much more fun! And she doesnt give me any grief about it, she loves it too.
In Jims defence he doesnt match me, I just wait till he is dressed then decided what I am going to wear and if it happens to be color cordinated with him then so be it.
I need to take more family pictures. But here are my cuteis in their sundays best.

I know...It kills me to how cute she is :)

Ahhh winter

I realized this morning that I love Fall and Winter. Dont get your hopes up Utah, not your kind of winter. California cold is plenty cold enough for me. I was snuggling in bed with my sleeping baby and it was still dark and cold. I could have layed there all day.I love when it starts to get chilly and the air is crisp. Perfect for bundling up in warm clothes or a snuggie. Drinking hot chocolate and watching a movie in the afternoon. Taking a long bubble bath and reading a book. All the warm cozy fall scents. Pumpkin, cinnamon, frosted cranberry. And all the holidays. Everyone just seems friendlier. But my favorite part is now Jim will cuddle me for more then 5 seconds because he doesnt get hot flashes.
So here is to staying in your jammies all day. I know we will be.

This is why I stop blogging. I try to make it cute and instead I just ruin it. I cant change the color writing so people can actually read it. And I cant shrink a pictuer to fit in the header. So thats why there are huge feet staring at you-it was that or a picture of my face cropped so a creepy eye was looking at you. and while were are at it how do i put picture on the side bar of my blog?

No Big Deal...

She reads :) Even to this day I call my mum and ask "are you my mother" and now I have a muffin of my own to call my baby.

For those of you who say Adelaide is just like me, well here is your proof she isnt. These did NOT come from me. Shes a bit confused though, are they toes or are they hands? "I can grab things with them so they must be fingers"

Tummy Time!

We have been slowly trying to build up how long she spends on her tummy everyday. One of us isnt too happy with this new plan.

This was about 30 seconds after she rolled over for the first time. I dont think she liked it.

Hanging out with Mimi

Addies new favorite past time...Looking at the cute baby in the mirror. I used to put her in her swing and let her fall asleep for her midday nap but now she discoved the mirror at the top of it so when I put her in it she just starts smiling and playing. Its so cute but not very good for naps anymore.

Its pure coincedence that pink is both of our favorite color.

Really spending Saturdat afternoon garding is not what I thought I would be doing at 23.But I wouldnt want to be doing anything else.Our yard has been so sad. We finally started the process of planting. We still have both of the planters to do but atleast we have this little area done. Jim has been so great about moving piles of dirt from this place to that place. But my mom takes the cake for biggest help. You all should get a Dani Schultz. Shes amazing.(not pictured per her request) Before...

It's my party!

A few weeks ago me, Sandy and Destiny threw a favorite things party. What you do is buy 5 of your favorite item that costs or adds up to $6. Then at the party we play a little game and you pick 5 names out of a jar. What ever names you pick they each get one of your goodie bags. So at the end you get 5 different things from other people. (its kinda hard to explain but really neat.)

We also had a mini dinner and desserts of our favorite things to eat.

Sandy made the cute little cards saying what it was and whos favorite thing it was. We had so much fun doing it and we already want to plan a kitchen themed party.

Do you ever have a day like this? I look like I have officially gone to the loony bin.

My Dad

I love my Daddy. He is just the best dad ever.

I like to hold on real tight when he has me so he cant get away. But sometimes im not so sure about what he is doing with me. I did love when he took me to work to show me off to all his friends though. He was so proud of me and I tried really hard to be good.

I really like when we just hang out on the couch and he lets me have tummy time so I can get stong. We like to watch ESPN together the most.(But So You Think You Can Dance is my favorite.)I always wait right here for him to come home. I get really excited everyday when he get here because he always plays with me first before saying hi to mom. Im definatly his favorite. Dont worry its ok with mom because im her favorite too.Saturdays are by far the best day of the week though. Its my day with dad all by myself. This is dad taking such good care of me :) I cant wait till I am bigger so I can really play with my dad like mom does with grandpa. They have lots of fun together too. She says that he is tied for first for the best dad ever award.

9 Weeks Already!

Today Addie had to go get her shots. I felt so bad. She had no idea what she was in for. But as always she was amazing. She cried at first but then the rest of the day she has just slept and didnt want to be put down. I didn't know how to help her feel better other then put my little pony bandaids on instead of the ugly boy ones the doctor did. I just know it had to help because that always helps me. :)

So here are her 9 week stats- (If anyone wants to know why they arent her 8 week stats just ask Jim. )

Weight- 11lbs 2oz

Heights- 22 1/2 inches

She is such a great baby. She is trying really hard to smile which melts my heart everytime she does. She loves to play soda pop and crazy legs with her dad. Forgets that she likes to be swaddled until your done doing it then remembers she likes it. Thinks its routin to come cuddle with mom in her bed after her breakfest (she knows dad went to work already so she wont be in trouble) Pink is her favorite color. Thinks headbands are the cutest things around besides her. Likes to grab things with her monkey toes-which she did not get from me. Always loves to have her arms up when shes sleeping. HATES anything in her diaper and I mean even the tiniest amount and she freaks out till you change her. Isnt too attatached to her pacifier. Likes riding in the car as long as you never stop or slow down then its a whole different story. She really likes to take baths as long as the water is nice and warm. We only made the mistake of having it to cool once. Loves to have her friends come over and play with her.

She is my life and already my greatest treasure. But is growing up to fast.
